LISTEN hEar is 40 page book and audio CD covers a twenty year period and documents selected works by pioneering Irish sound and performance artist Danny McCarthy. Ranging from early installations like 'Echoes From An Abandoned Schoolhouse' (1988) up to his current work, Listening With The Sound Turned Off, which was presented at Triskel Arts Centre, Cork in 2008.

The book covers indoor and outdoor installations with both colour and b&w illustrations, an introduction by David Toop and an essay by Julie Forrester. McCarthy's own photography features throughout. The thirteen track CD provides an extensive auditory overview of McCarthy's sound work during this period.
