スウェーデンより興味深いサウンドアート/即興録音を発信するレーベル"苦吟/kuyin"のタイトル!!普段はビオラプレイヤーとして演奏しているCassia Streb、米ベテラン・パーカッショニストTim Feeney、この二者が大規模なインスタレーションとして展開したギャラリー内でのマルチスピーカー作品[Lampworking]。録音済みの音源を流す事と生演奏を同時に行ったもので、擦り合わされる石、沸騰する湯、植木鉢の破片、弓で鳴らされる金属、航空機の飛ぶ音、ガラスの割れるサウンドなど、物音フェチには堪らないサウンドが程よく抑えた形で放射されています。





Lampworking presents two large-scale works, Pasadena and Chinatown, by Cassia Streb and Tim Feeney. Named for the gallery locations where they were recorded, these tracks document live events in which the artists perform together with multi-speaker installations.

Sounds, pre-recorded and live, include:

Pebbles, metal bells, rubbed stones, boiling water, bits of flowerpot, bowed metal, viola, harmonium, metal containers, ball bearings, wine glasses, eucalyptus bark, dried leaves, gravel, wind, air traffic, ravens, and fireworks.
