小さな鐘の録音にフォーカスした美しい内容!!ポーランドにて電子音楽家として、またアンビエント及びシューゲイズ・バンドの一員として活動するTomek Mirt。並行して長年フィールドレコーディストとしても活動を続けてきた人物で、その成果を定期的にプライベートレーベルSaamlengより音源として発表。本作は、今後シリーズで展開するタイの仏教寺院サウンドスケープの第一弾作品。全てがステンレスで作られた珍しい寺院"ステンレス・パゴダ"のフィールドレコーディングで、数千に及ぶ小さな鐘で装飾された異様な光景を捉えたもの。小気味良いランダムな粒の連なりが非常に美しい。







This is the first installment in a series of soundscape recordings from Buddhist temples in Thailand.

Phra Maha Chedi Tripob Trimongkol, also known as the Stainless Pagoda, is a unique buddhist temple located on the hill, in the far south of Thailand, near Hat Yai city in the Songkhla province. The temple is made of chrome tubes and decorated with thousands of small bells - a real oddity for a traveler from Europe, but also a perfect field recording spot.

The first track was recorded in December 2022 during our second visit in Steinless Pagoda and the second one in February 2024.
