2025年7月、アキオ・ジェイムス氏が東京のBar Issheeにて短期の滞在型ライブを実施、その一連のライブの中で特に印象的だったという、T.美川氏(エレクトロニクス)と、武田理沙氏(シンセサイザー)とのトリオ編成のライブ録音が米Helicopterより音源化。当初は意図していなかったものの、ライブ後もそれぞれが連絡を取り合いリリースに至った作品であり、約30分と34分のノンストップの2テイクを収録。スリリング且つ一定の高揚感を保ち続ける流石の高内容。



In July 2025, Akio Jeimus did a short residency at the intimate Tokyo venue, Bar Isshee. He, with the help of owner Shunichi Ishida (Isshee), was able to organize four different trio performances with Tokyo-based musicians, some frequent collaborators, some first-time.

Perhaps the pinnacle of this series of shows occurred on Saturday with T. Mikawa (of Incapacitants) on electronics and Risa Takeda on synthesizers. Although Takeda and Jeimus often collaborate in live settings, this specific trio demonstrated a unique energy and the two sets that ensued flowed with a mindful and in-the-moment pace. After the second set, the performers and Isshee enjoyed drinks with Mikawa's delicious, home-made, "otsumami," a memorable way to cap off the impressive night.

After the performance, members remained in touch, trading files of their recordings of the performance. Although not initially intended, the three unanimously agreed this work would be worthy to put out. The result of which is: Third Night Sparks.
