高額で取引されていた2004年廃盤名作が、拡張&リマスター仕様にて遂に復刻!!2004年の夏、Nurse With Wound(Steven StapletonとColin Potter)はKunst I Nordlandの招待を受け、北極圏のロフォーテン諸島に数週間滞在。彼らのアパートには小さなスタジオが設営され現地の音を収集し楽曲を制作、その音源は2ヶ月間にわたり地元ラジオ局で放送された、伝説的プロジェクト[Shipwreck Radio]シリーズの第一弾。個人的にこのシリーズの最高傑作と感じている一枚であり、本リイシュー版には今回が初出となるプロジェクトの未発音源を追加収録。雑音まみれのフィールドレコーディングにロービート、超ソリッドな持続音までとクールな音源で統一。

Back in the summer of 2004 Nurse With Wound (Steven Stapleton and Colin Potter) were invited by Kunst I Nordland to visit the Arctic Lofoten Islands for a number of weeks. A small studio was set up in their apartment and their task was to collect sounds from the area and create a series of unexpected radio transmissions that were broadcast on the local radio station over a period of two months. A substantial amount of material was produced and the broadcasts were released as double CDs, the first being Shipwreck Radio Volume 1. This has long been out of print, so we are now re-releasing it with additional tracks from the original project. The audio has been carefully remastered by Colin Potter.
