静岡でのデュオ録音!!ヨーロッパ・フリージャズの巨匠であり鬼才ピアニストのミシャ・メンゲルベルクと、世界の前衛ジャズ・シーンを渡り歩いた"サブ"こと豊住芳三郎が、2000年10月21日に静岡市の青嶋ホールで行ったライブ音源。ミシャ・メンゲルベルクを"師"と敬愛する豊住氏にとってこのレコーディングは特別な意味を持ち、その内容は非常に人間的でどこか親しみやすく、そして尊敬の念が滲み出た凄まじい4テイクで構成されています。





Although Sabu Toyozumi has performed and recorded with many high-profile artists , the percussionist dedicates his deepest aesthetic and spiritual attachment to the pianist Misha Mengelberg, both from a musical and philosophical point of view. As he told me: Misha Mengelberg is my “guru”. Without doubt, Misha is a person who has given him a lot for the balance of his health and his own individuality, he says. For Sabu-san, this recording has a very special importance, a profoundly human, friendly and admiring dimension.
