是非フィジカル版で!!モートン・フェルドマンが1987年に亡くなる2年前に作られた晩年作[Violin and String Quartet]。ストリングスが穏やかに起伏する単調なパターンを紡いだ全2時間40分の長編であり、フェルドマンの最も美しい作品の一つとして知られている楽曲。演奏はお馴染みのApartment Houseが担当、本来ノンストップで聴かれるべき作品ですがデジタルでは容量の関係で4分割された仕様となっており、それに対しCDは60分で一つの休憩を入れた2枚組で編成。美麗なだけでは無い、しっかりとした重みも感じ取れる超傑作。



Dating from two years before the composer's death in 1987, 'Violin and String Quartet' lasts two and a quarter hours, throughout which the strings weave gently shifting patterns of sound. It is one of Feldman's most beautiful pieces.

Due to the limits on file sizes allowed by Bandcamp, the piece has had to be been divided into 4 tracks, but these tracks should ideally be heard continuously without pause.

On CD the piece is a double album, with one break at 60 minutes.
