孤高のフランス人アーティストKey Ransoneが80年代後半に始動したプロジェクトSmall Cruel Party。元々は友人配布用に極小エディション(5~7部ほど)で制作された初期のレア音源[E Vago Fior Del Tempo]がLPフォーマットで登場。2009/2010年頃にPetri Supplyが極小のブートを制作、またPenultimate Pressが2021年に1度LP化した音源であり、本作はジャケットの色合いを変更したフランスFerns Recordingsによる2ndエディション。イカツイ雑音とマイクロスコピックな物音が入り混じる非常にセンスの良い4作品からなり、音響やノイズだけで無くインダストリアルビートとして組み上げた無骨なトラックもあり。







The four pieces on this Small Cruel Party record all date from the late 1980s and predate any officially released material : "Cords" was entirely realized in Chicago, and the others realized, or at least finished, upon arriving in Seattle in 1990. The pieces were originally privately released on cassette in micro-editions of 5 to 7 copies and given to friends.

In 2009/2010 Petri Supplies, which had a complete set of those early privately released tapes, rereleased some of that material (including these four pieces) in small-run bootleg cassette editions.
