60年代末にBob Downes Open Music等を立ち上げ活動を開始、個人、バンドに関わらず様々な実験スタイルのジャズやコンテンポラリー作品を残したフルート/サックス奏者のBob Downes。人知れず98年からひっそりとプライベートシリーズとして出ていた[The Inner Universe]の第一弾が本作。あらゆるタイプのフルート&サックス、そしてゴングが交わる恍惚とした情景、そのバックでは引き伸ばされたドローンヴォイスが漂うタイトル通りの内面宇宙。作家のサインが入ったCD-R版。

The soothing chant of the magic mantra "OM"
creates a vast ocean like sound. With various flutes
and saxophones Bob Downes merges into the
quietly moving waves. The natural sound of the instruments,
the choice of melodies, the subtle use of overtones communicates
with the energies, free from specific time or cultures.
The listener is gently led into his own "Inner Universe".

The Music of "THE INNER UNIVERSE" has proved to be perfect
to accompany Taiji, Qigong, Yoga, Reiki, Massage and other
therapies or events which require a quiet surrounding and lead to
relaxation, or make it possible to listen or dream.

In order for the listener to settle down, there is 9 seconds of silence
before the music begins.
