大推薦のアート系/サウンドアートレーベル！！ロサンゼルスを拠点にしながらほぼ無名に近いアーティストのみをチョイスし音盤(LPのみ)の制作を行っている、自身も音楽家として活動するLeRoy Stevens主宰のSmall World。オーナー自らが発表した面白インスタレーション録音！！本作は75フィートの鉄パイプを地中に埋めそれを地上から可変ピッチ付きの金属探知機で捉えるという、その名も[Underground Sculpture]の記録。乾燥したイメージのフィールドレコーディングにビープ音ぽいサウンドが終始絡みつく、チープな電子音楽の様な内容。しかもこれを二枚組でリリースしてしまうという所が驚き。オレンジヴァイナル仕様。





Underground Sculpture is an installation comprised of seventy-five 20 foot lengths of steel rebar buried below the ground. Viewers interact with the sculpture by using a variable pitch metal detector.

Experienced primarily as an auditory-visual sculpture, this 2LP consists of recordings made between 2012 to 2014.
