Sindre Bjerga crept up through the Norway experimental scene in the tail end of the 90s with his unconventionally alien and harsh approach to avant-garde performance, where post-guitar exploration locks grips with lo-fi electronics in a surreal and nihilistic underground wrestling ring. This shape-shifting live performance, recorded in Berlin, moves through a variety of dimensions. Naked turntable actions give way to heavy drone environments in the beyond. Ripe with extreme passages and jarring gateways, Basement Instinct gives an unsettling glimpse into this legend's darkest corners.
