オリジナルは1998年に同Ocoraが出版したCD作品の2015年新装版。中央アフリカ全体の熱帯雨林を生活拠点とし、複雑なポリフォニーを特徴とする声楽でも知られるピグミー族。本作は西部のアカ族の録音集。有名なポリフォニーとはまた異なる広く知られていないボーカルのレパートリーやら、森に落ちている木、樹皮、葉などを素材に作られたハープチター、フルート、弓の様な楽器によるリズミカルな演奏など、クラッピングやら単調な喉歌を含め本当に素晴らしい素朴ミニマルミュージックが聞けます。
