カセット版は限定30部！！パッケージデザインも美しい面白過ぎるサウンドアート物件！！イタリアにてビジュアルデザイナー兼作曲家として動き、 活動当初の1996年はインダストリアルミュージックを中心に制作していたMatteo Uggeri。なんと構想から発表に至るまで実に8年を要したという、自身のキャリアの中で最も奇妙なリリースという特殊物件を出版！！沢山のミュージシャン仲間に電話を掛けその場でジャンル問わず好きな楽曲の演奏を依頼、その演奏を電話の受話器でキャッチしそのまま記録するという、電話録音独特のテクスチャーを利用した非常に興味深い音記録。Diana Ross、Pascal Comelade、Joy Division、Neil Young、AC/DCの楽曲が妙な感触で紡がれています。プロジェクト全体の写真や説明が記載されたポスター、特殊形状のシルバー・カーボードパッケージ、それらをパンの包み紙に封入。

- the red cassette into a jewel silverish carboard package with a sticker, wrapped into a bread-paper bag;

This is by far the weirdest release by Matteo Uggeri in his whole career, that started in 1993 and developed along many collaborations along the years and culminated, so far, in 2022, with the Starlight Assembly project involving the 4AD historical singer Dominic Appleton (This Mortal Coil and Breathless).

For this bizarre album, which design, recording and releasing took over 8 years, he's also surrounded by a good bunch of fellow musicians. Each of them has been invited to sing a song, a cover, at the phone with Matteo. The tracks are direct takes through the delicate, old microphones present in the (70's) telephone handsets.

Integrated with bits of conversations, crackles, background noises, hisses and breaths, they result in an album which is an unique flow of whispered vocals on sparse instrumental arrangements.

The album is released in three formats, from an extremely limited to 15 copies "Dial Box Edition", that includes a real old hacked (but working) phone handset with a true 3.5mm audio jack to a limited CD with 85 different black and white postcards covers included, to 30 cassettes.
