90年代より本国フランスのカルト物件再発や日本の音楽家なども数多く手掛けてきた老舗レーベルFractalが激ヤバのシリーズを始動！！Jean-Luc Andre、Jean-Philippe Fee、Sylvie Martineauらによって77年に結成されたフランスのエクスペリメンタル・グループDDAA。その彼らが運営した自主レーベルIllusion Productionのレア音源を一挙再発する"Prospective Marge"というシリーズ・プロジェクト!! 本作は1985年に2本組で出版されたコンピレーションカセットシリーズの片方である"Sensationnel"No.4の単独版。インダストリアル、エクスペリメンタル、アバンギャルド、シンセポップ、エレクトロ、アンビエント、etc...と本当に多種多様な音楽性が混在する名作です。(一番右の画像はオリジナルパッケージ)









The “Sensationnel” series (Volume 20-24) is a fabulous and splendid illustration of the effervescence and the creativity that was the “cassette culture” movement in the 80s, presented through the “ARTY per excellence” underground magazine by Illusion Production (the aptly named label of DDAA). This gigantic “International” compilation going from P16D4 to Lady June via Merzbow, Tara cross, Pacific 231 (to name just 5!) is and incredible anthill of the most diverse and varied musical genres, synth-pop, electro, ambient, noise, industrial, experimental, avant-garde, lo-fi, minimal, and other unclassifiable… The “Sensationnel” newspaper now ‘cult’ for aficionados, is a real gold mine of the so-called ‘underground’ music and the vital testimony of a new generation of young musicians of the time, which were almost all, more or less, unknown then… A musical and artistic authenticity that we can feel today more than 30 years later, listening to these 5 volumes (100 different artists and more than 130 tracks, with a total of more than 6 hours of music!!). First time reissue (originally released on cassettes between 1983 and 1987).
