2015年の廃盤名作が10周年記念版としてリマスター仕様で再プレス!!様々な重鎮たちの楽曲を演奏、録音物も素晴らしい事で知られるアイルランドの強者アンサンブル"Quiet Music Ensemble"。本作は、デヴィッド・トゥープ、ポーリン・オリヴェロス、アルヴィン・ルシエ、ジョン・ゴッドフリー(QMEのリーダー)の4名が、このアンサンブルの為に書き下ろした楽曲を演奏した傑作[The Mysteries Beyond Matter]。当店にて2015年にオリジナル版を紹介〜即廃盤となった人気タイトルであり、この度全曲リマスター仕様でリイシュー。各楽曲、アンサンブル独自の美学を貫いた硬派な記録となっており、物音、フィールドレコーディング、繊細な動きの持続音までをやってのける凄い出来のアルバム。パッケージも美しい四つ折り大判スリーヴ仕様。









In 2015, QME and Farpoint Recordings released their first CD together. It brought together four amazing pieces by David Toop, Pauline Oliveros, Alvin Lucier and John Godfrey in world premiere recordings, each written specifically for QME, and each an extraordinary and remarkable angle on QME’s unique aesthetic. QME explores the sinister resonances of late-night sound, astonishing psychoacoustic effects as tones slide glacially one against another, cloud-like sonorities conjured from extreme reverbs and the still poise of Laotian soundscapes tinted by spectral harmonies.

The digital album that comes with the original CD has been remastered by one of Ireland’s most celebrated mastering engineers, Seán Mac Erlaine.
