Label: EE Tapes

I first met with Marien Van Oers on 1st April 1988 when he was playing support act for Bourbonese Qualk at club Utopia in Elsoo, The Netherlands. I knew of his music on cassette tapes and one vinyl record, but seeing and hearing him at work made me a fan in once instance.
I recorded his performance in Elsloo and invited him to come and play at the radiostation where I presented a radioshow every Wednesday evening, called Radio Militia. The radiostation was Vrije Radio Demervallei, located in the Belgian village of Diepenbeek and it exists still today.
Many years later I asked him what his plans were regarding both recordings, but he told me that he had lost interest in music and had stopped performing under the banner of Het Zweet. I could do as I pleased with the recordings. Again, a few years later, I called him to tell him that I was planning a release of both recordings, but then he told me that he was very ill. Not long after that he passed away, on 8th January 2013.
Now, after a long search for the right label to have his works released, I found EE Tapes, run by Eriek Van Havere and trusted him with the masterings of both live recordings, resulting in this absolute unique album: the music on the records were never released before, nor is there any other medium out there containing this music. An absolute must have for the Het Zweet fans and people interested in industrial music in general!
