Sachiko Mソロアルバムとしてはかなり久々となる大変貴重な音源!!

1990年代後半より、テスト用信号音のサインウェイヴを使った演奏で物議を醸しつつ、熱烈なファンを獲得してきた Sachiko M。今日に至るまで、即興演奏家としての活動はもとより、作曲家、写真集の出版、フェスティヴァルのキュレーション / ディレクション、国内外でのサウンド・インスタレーションなど多彩に活躍を続けている。

Sachiko M は、東京、Ftarri の実店舗営業10周年を記念するコンサート・シリーズの一環として、2022年11月21日に Ftarri に出演。本CDには、そのサインウェイヴ・ソロ演奏2セット（どちらも約25分）を丸ごと収録。極めて簡潔でありながら、聴き出したら最後まで聴かないではいられない。その演奏は、まさに Sachiko M そのもの。



Since the second half of the 1990s, Sachiko M has gained ardent fans while generating controversy with performances using test tone sine waves. In addition to her work as an improviser, she has been engaged in diverse activities including composing, publishing photo books, curating and directing festivals, and presenting sound installations inside and outside Japan.

Sachiko M performed at Ftarri on November 21, 2022, as part of the concert series celebrating the 10th anniversary of the launch of Ftarri’s physical store/performance space in Tokyo. This CD is the complete recording of the two sine wave solo sets she performed in that concert (each 25 minutes). While extremely restrained, the music pulls the listener in and doesn’t let go until it’s over. The performance is truly Sachiko M herself.
