Label: Buh Records
"Señales de síntesis" brings together a series of electroacoustic compositions produced in Peru between 1991 and 2000. This period marks the emergence of a new generation of composers whose practices continue and reconfigure a tradition established in earlier decades.
During these years, spaces for training and production such as the National Conservatory of Music became consolidated, notably with the establishment of an electroacoustic composition workshop in 1995. Individual and collaborative initiatives also emerged, enabling the creation of works through the use of synthesizers, tape recorders, computers, and various sound recordings.
This edition includes compositions by José Sosaya, Gilles Mercier, Rafael Junchaya, and Edgardo Plasencia, recorded in diverse technical and institutional contexts. Some of these works were broadcast on radio or presented in concerts, while others remained unpublished.
These pieces are situated within a historical framework that includes early experiences in Peruvian electroacoustic music dating back to the 1960s, with contributions from figures such as César Bolaños, Edgar Valcárcel, and Enrique Pinilla.
