限定20部！！ Pentimentsのカセット作[Harpist]、Penultimate Pressからのヴァイナル[Crooked Dances]など、まだ少ない作品数ながら確かな音源だけを残している個人的にも注目のDerek Baron。氏が2016年に人知れずひっそりと始動していた激ヤバレーベルReading Groupの作品を纏めて入手。カナダはトロントにてPower Moves Labelを運営しつつテープ・アーティストとして音活動もしているKevin Cahill。現在停止状態のレーベルVitrineのあの感じにも通じる、捉えどころが非常に難しい(異質な)テープノイズ、コンクレート。インサート付き。

Watson Island English is the latest from Toronto-based tape artist and label auteur Kev Cahill's solo project Downer Canada. Two vaguely symmetrical tracks expand downward into strata of tape noise, concrete, reflections of familiar sounds in an unfamiliar space. A steep step inwards, or, as Kev says, "psychogeographically...aiming but aimless."
